“Sibling rivalry on steroids” is how some people have described this American classic play written by Sam Shepard and first performed in 1980. True West was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1983. John C. Reilly and Philip Seymour Hoffman both won a Tony award for Best Actor for their roles in True West in 2000.
